Return Policy

Amenity Shoes is an independent and locally owned shoe store in Portland Oregon.

Since we are a smaller business operation and have limited quantities of our stylish & comfy shoes, we have to
adhere to a typical “boutique type” return policy.

Therefore, we have two distinctly different types of return policies depending on whether your purchase is made either in store or from the phone/internet.

Phone/Internet Order Return Policy

Items purchased from the internet via mail/phone order may be returned for exchange, store credit or refund if they meet the following criteria:

  1. Items are found to be in unworn or new, re-saleable condition and packaged in original box or packaging.
  2. (We advise that you only wear the shoes around your house for a limited time if there is a chance you might need to return these to our store.)

  3. Items are returned to Amenity Shoes with a postmark no later than 7 days from receipt of goods.
  4. For example: If you place an order and receive it from us on Dec. 1st, then you must ship it back no later than Dec.7th.

*If these criteria are not met when items are received back in store, the customer will be contacted and notified as to our findings. The item purchased will then be shipped back to customer and no refund will be given.

In-Store Return Policy

Purchases made in store may be returned within 14 days of purchase if they are:
Found to be in UNWORN and in ORIGINAL BOX with the SALES RECEIPT for in-store credit only.*

Sorry, refunds are not available.

* The store credits issued are in the form of a paper gift certificate and do not expire. If you loose your credit, you can still use it because we keep a hard copy on file in our store.

Returns of handbags, jewelry & accessories must be made within 14 days of purchase with original receipt and in new condition for store credit or exchange.

No returns or exchanges for opened hosiery or socks.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON CLEARANCE ITEMS! *

*This means, if you buy an item that is considered “clearance”, we cannot take this item back for exchange.

However, if you buy an item that is temporarily marked down or “on sale” during our annual FALL SALE or ANNIVERSARY SALE we do make an exception for these purchases and can gladly make an exchange.

Shipping Charges

We charge a flat fee of $4 for ground shipments to customers in the Continental United States.

However, if items purchased need to be returned or exchanged to us, customer must arrange and pay for return shipping charges.

You will not be charged sales tax for your purchases since Oregon has no retail sales tax.

At this time, we do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii or anywhere outside of the Continental United States.

Shipping of Jewelry Box Purchases

We charge $12 to ship our large wooden jewelry boxes. This shipping fee includes insurance.
